Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the PacketFence Agent mobile application ("App") handles data when you use our certificate provisioning service. Our App facilitates certificate downloads from PacketFence servers and installation on your device without collecting, storing, or processing personal data.

The PacketFence Agent app does not collect, store, or process any personal information. The app functions solely as a tool to download certificates from PacketFence servers and install them on your device.

Permissions Required

Our app requires certain permissions to function properly:

• Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Required to communicate with PacketFence servers for certificate download.
• WiFi State Access (android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE and android.permission.CHANGE_WIFI_STATE): Required to read and modify WiFi connection settings for certificate installation.
• Network State Access (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and android.permission.CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE): Required to determine connectivity status and make necessary network changes for certificate installation.
• Location Access (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Required by the Android system for certain WiFi operations. No location data is collected, stored, or transmitted.

Data Processing

When you use the app:

1. The app reads XML configuration files provided by your PacketFence server
2. If security credentials are required (such as passwords), they are used only for authentication with the PacketFence server
3. No data is transmitted to any third parties or servers other than the PacketFence server you are connecting to

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Since we do not collect any personal data, we do not share or disclose any personal information with third parties.

Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your device during the certificate installation process. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
